Privacy Policy

The short version. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing you record is ever sold or shared with anyone. Matches you chart stay on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. The one time information leaves your device is when you choose to share a match live, and that is described below.
What CourtPlot stores
Everything you record (matches, points, shot positions, player names, notes, player profiles and ratings) is stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, that data may also sync through Apple's CloudKit to your own private iCloud account so it is available on your other devices. Private iCloud data belongs to your Apple account and the developer cannot read it.
Live sharing, which is optional
If you choose to share a match live, CourtPlot publishes a limited snapshot so people you give the code to can follow along: the player names you entered, the score, basic match statistics, and in ProPlot the shot positions for the current point. If you join an event board, it also includes the name you give yourself on that board and a random identifier for your copy of the app, so the board can tell two people tracking different courts apart. That snapshot is stored in a shared Apple CloudKit database and can be read by anyone who has the code.
- Live sharing is off unless you start it.
- Each live record is deleted automatically 12 hours after the stream starts, and immediately when you stop sharing or delete the link.
- Player names are visible to anyone with the code, so use names you are comfortable sharing. First names or initials work fine.
- A live snapshot carries the names and the app identifier together, so while it exists it can be associated with the people in the match. It is never used for advertising, profiling or tracking, it is never sold or shared with a third party, and nothing about it is kept once the record expires.
Sending data to an AI service
CourtPlot can copy a match or a player profile to your clipboard so you can paste it into an AI chatbot for a coaching read. CourtPlot does not send anything anywhere by itself. The copy and the paste are both your actions, and anything you paste is then handled under that service's own privacy policy.
What CourtPlot does not do
- No account or sign up, and no email address required.
- No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no third party analytics or tracking.
- No selling or sharing of personal information.
- No location tracking, no contacts access, no microphone or camera access.
Children
CourtPlot is often used by parents and coaches to track a young player's matches, so the data you enter may describe a child, such as their name and how they played. That information stays on your device and in your own iCloud account unless you deliberately share a match live. CourtPlot is not directed to children as users and does not knowingly collect information from children directly.
Your control
You can delete any match, player profile or saved analysis in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device. To remove synced data, delete it in the app while signed in to iCloud, or turn off iCloud for CourtPlot in your device settings.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects how information is handled, the updated policy will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
